Claire
Bowers as Sugar Plum Fairy

Claire Bowers, 21, grew up in Chelsea, Michigan and
danced at Ballet Chelsea. While at Ballet Chelsea, Claire performed inThe Sleeping
Beauty,A Midsummer Night’s Dream, andCoppélia.
Claire is now a Junior in Indiana University’s Ballet Theater. Since
coming to IU, Claire has received the opportunities to dance in both Michael
Vernon’s and Sasha Janes’ version ofThe Nutcracker, George
Balanchine’sSerenade, George Balanchine’sPas de Dix,
andLa Bayadere Reimagined: A Star on the Rise. Claire is grateful
and excited for the opportunity to be a part of Springfield Ballet’s The Nutcracker this year as Sugar Plum
Fairy. |

Ethan Houck as Cavalier
(from Indiana University) -
Ethan Houck, 20, is a junior at Indiana
University’s Ballet Department pursuing a BSOF in Ballet with an Outside Field in Public
Financial Management and BS in Arts Management. In his IU career, Ethan had the opportunity to
perform in Michael Vernon’s and Sasha Janes’ The Nutcracker, George Balanchine’s Serenade, Dwight Rhoden’s Ballad
Unto, Phil Chan and Doug Fullington’s A Star on the Rise: La Bayadère Reimagined, and principal roles in
Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Shibuya Blues and Durante Verzola’s Mouvement Joyeux. He is an alumnus of Springfield Ballet and Central High
School, and is so excited to be back at the Landers Theatre performing as Cavalier.

Summer
McNeill as Sugar Plum Fairy

Summer
McNeill, a
native of Atlanta, Georgia, began her training at Georgia Metropolitan Dance
Theatre under the direction of Kathryn Macbeth. In 2016, she continued her
training under Sharon Story at Atlanta Ballet’s Centre for Dance Education. She
performed in Atlanta Ballet’s production of The
Nutcracker and Snow White. As a
graduate of Cobb County’s Center of Excellence in the Performing Arts Magnet
Program at Pebblebrook High School, she received several awards and accolades,
such as Most Outstanding Female and Most Promising Dancer. In 2018, Summer was
awarded a scholarship to attend The Ailey School in New York City. Summer’s
performances includeMemoria, January Explosion, Global Harmony, and The 92nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
In 2020, Summer worked on several projects around metro Atlanta with Dance
Canvas, going on to dance as a protégé with Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre.
This is Summer’s third season with Collage Dance Collective. |

Fábio
Mariano as Cavalier

Fábio Mariano was born in Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil and started dancing at age 14. He graduated from State School
of Dance Maria Olenewa and performed in big productions of ballet and opera at
Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro such as The
Nutcracker, The Rite of Spring, Aida and Marguerite & Armand. Taught by renowned Brazilian and Russian
teachers from Kirov Ballet, he graduated in 2014. In Brazil, he performed
classical and contemporary works by different choreographers with Caetano Cia.
De Dança and Companhia Jovem de Ballet do Rio de Janeiro. Mr. Mariano joined
Corpo de Baile Campos dos Goytacazes in 2014, where he performed classical and
contemporary works and choreographed for the company. In 2016, he moved to the
USA to join Atlantic City Ballet (NJ) and performed soloist and leading roles
in full length productions of The
Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Dracula and Carmen. Mr.
Mariano has been an artist with Collage Dance since 2017, where he has
performed many classical, contemporary and modern works by Kevin Thomas, Nacho
Duato, G. Balanchine, Camile A. Brown, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Amy Hall Garner
and more. He has also choreographed two pieces for the professional company in
2022 and 2023 and has choreographed on students of the conservatory every year
since he joined the company. Mr. Mariano is a ballet teacher with more than 10
years of experience and has taught students from age 8 and up. Institutions he
has taught include Centro de Arts Madeleine Rosay (Brazil), ACBT Performing
Arts Academy, Studio 413, Collage Dance Conservatory and The Washington School
of Ballet. In 2020, he co-founded the online platform Blacks in Ballet
alongside Ingrid Silva and Ruan Galdino to highlight ballet dancers of color
